There are many shopping centers in this region including the Cathedral City Marketplace, the Cathedral Plaza Shopping Center, and the Rimrock Shopping Center. There is also the Palm Springs Auto Mall which is a mega-dealership on highway 111 and Perez Road. The Palm Springs International Airport is within minutes of this neighborhood. There are ten parks in this city including Agua Caliente Park, Ocotillo Park, Town Square, and Patriot Park. The Big League Dreams Sports Park is on Dinah Shore and Date Palm Drive with four replica major league fields.
Cathedral City is convenitently located between Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs. It is the second largest in Coachella Valley and was named for Cathedral Canyon. This city was once a downtown revitalization program in the 1990s and was brought up to speed by 2005.
